I need you to hurry up now…

…’cause I can’t wait much longer.”

On the left hand side, the in case you forgot olympic gold winnin’ in ’56, Bill Russell lookin’ like a proud father seeing his kids do what they promised him, I always hear the first verse of “The Watcher” when I look at the The Greatest Player in playoff history in this pic just off pose alone, never mind him knuckling up the ’86 piece. Tony “what-uppin” with Sam I Am making sure his mug gets a nice look, Big Baby tossin’ the ball in the air then doin a nice Ric Flair, KG is the definitiion of elation after years of bench pressing a small-market franchise and finally certifying himself with the championship standard not all greats can achieve, The Truth is still in auto-pilot celebration mode as the series probably went the exact same way it did in his dreams when he went to sleep the day before Game 1 with the MVP trophy permanently attached for the next 36+ hours, Mr. Shuttlesworth single-handedly made sure in the second half that the O’Brian was being presented at home while simultaneously and quietly placing himself in the finals history books and having his right shoulder eaten by KG’s claw, and Doc Rivers looking like the lottery winner finally receiving the big check making it official after cashing in his winning ticket he bought after the last game of last season. Eddie in the back and Rondo chillin’ just happy to contribute, PJ with a vicious block that night on someone I forget his name right now I didn’t really see him in the 2nd half, Posey and Powe and the rest mixed and mingled in or AWOL still celebrating with their loved ones.

Defence, teamwork, hardwork, Celtics Basketball is back.

Highlight of the night?

“YOU’RE-NOT-JORDAN… *clap, clap, clap clap clap.*” – Boston Fans cheering during Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals.

Boston Celtics Win The NBA Finals 2008 @ Home, Game 6, 131-92 in the biggest margin in championship-game-clinching history.

And I called Game 4 and 5, word to my crystal ball.

Tell you what, as a die hard Knicks fan it eventually became tough to see another team raise the Larry O’Brien trophy…

…but when KG was doing his interview post-game and screaming out “Anything is possible!”–I got chills. Dude was uber-real, letting it all out, completely overwhelmed by the moment. It was amazing to see and I am genuinely happy for the guy.

Kobe’ll be back there or at least back in the west finals next year with bynum getting healthy and fitting back in, letting Pau get his jumpers. This team needed to win, now. And I’m glad they did, The big three all deserved rings.

The “Rouge Et Bleu” had the Bruins number all day long last season. And this season the B’s will be back in the playoffs, we’ll see. Not gonna get The Cup any time soon, but will definitely be a post-season problem.
