Late Pass: Don’t Touch Me Now

Busta Rhymes – Don’t Touch Me Now via Blessed

It’s the Busta Rhymes we all know and love, masterfully sitting in his lane, legendary status, nothing changed, high-energy, costumes, antics, a little something I’d like to call… having fun. Which is what I’d want to see from an artist in their music videos. Like really which other artist can pay respects to James Brown then put on a Gorilla suit in the same minute, and still maintain his imperial status. I’m thinking this is what Busta meant when he said he was back on his bullshit. And quite frankly I’m happy he is, hip-hop needs it.

Amen, amigo. I caught this video on vaca in FL and I thought the same thing. I love seeing Bus on his 1997 ish–he really hasn’t skipped a beat. Plus, this instrumental is dope–who produced it?
